My R2 interview was conducted at Booth on February 24th. There were a number of first year students and Dean’s Student Admissions Committee representatives in the waiting room to greet visitors. Everyone was welcoming and helpful.
A kind and engaging member of the admissions staff conducted my interview. She shared my non-profit background and was supportive and interested throughout the half-hour. The interview was comfortable and conversational.
My interviewer let me know that she would be taking notes during the meeting and would give me a heads up when we got close to 30 minutes.
- Give me an overview of your resume.
- [Citing a project from my resume], What were your contributions to this project and how did you show leadership?
- Describe how you showed leadership and what were the outcomes [of a particular project that I spearheaded at a past position.]
- Elaborate on what you did to improve this situation [referring to my current position.]
- Why do you want an MBA?
- What are you long-term and short-term goals?
- Why Booth?/ What do you want to get involved with at Booth beyond academics?
- Is there anything else that you would like to highlight?
- What questions do you have for me?
At the end of the interview, she explained how and when admissions decision would be made. Interview Duration: 30 minutes
