I interviewed recently at Fuqua (round 2 applicant, on campus interview). The interview was with a second-year student and was very friendly and relaxed. The interview lasted for ~1 hour (technically it was supposed to be 30 minutes with 15 reserved for my questions at the end). Below are the questions I can recall:
- Walk me through your resume
- What inspired your interest in your short-term goal
- Why MBA (weave in why Duke here)
- Tell me about a time when you worked on a team
- Tell me about a leadership experience
- How do you plan to be involved in the community
I also heard that others were asked for quick elevator pitch of their candidacy at the end, but that wasn’t the case for me. I think the tone of my interview was standard across the board. For those interested in dress code (the interview invite states business casual), over half of the candidates were in business formal, reinforcing that prospectives should wear whatever makes them most comfortable (for me, that was a suit).
