My interview was at 5:00pm in a coffee shop in central Hong Kong (mid-February for a round 2 application). He was friendly, but also very professional, and noted that we only had 30 minutes because there were several other students lined up for the evening.
- Tell me about your background
- Asked specific questions about my current job (including what I dislike about it the most).
- Why do you need an MBA?
- Why do you want to go to Ross specifically (and have you visited the school – I had not)?
- How do you stand out compared to other students at Ross (tied in with what makes you unique?
- What will you get involved in on campus?
- What do you do in Hong Kong outside of work?
- 2-3 minutes at the end for questions.
Overall, I think the interview experience went well, although with only 30 minutes, it felt very rushed, and not very relaxed. It would have been great to have had another 15 minutes or so to go through the stories, and hear a little more from him about his experience at Ross. Ultimately, I probably could have been a little bit tighter with making sure I was getting across the information that I needed to convey
I will find out the result on March 14th .. best of luck to everyone else throughout the process!!!
