Ross MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On Campus / Second-year Student

I interviewed at Ross on campus during the Super Interview Weekend for Women (Round 2; Feb 4, 2012). I was interviewed by a second year MBA student and had submitted my resume in the system previously. The interview was blind; the student had not seen any part of my application except my resume. The questions she asked included the following:

  1. Walk me through your resume
  2. What are your career goals; Why Ross?
  3. Tell me about a time that you worked on a team and a team member wasn’t pulling his / her weight. How did you handle it?
  4. Give me three adjectives that you would use to describe yourself.

The interview lasted for about 40 minutes and she allowed about 5-7 minutes for questions. I had 2 questions prepared. The prior night, I was paired up with a “buddy” who encouraged me to think about the questions I would ask at the interview. The advice my buddy gave me was to avoid asking questions specifically about the popular programs and activities at Ross (MAP and Leadership Crisis Challenge) because they were such common questions.
