Ross MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On-campus / Second Year Student

  1. Walk me through your Resume
  2. Why an MBA
  3. Why Ross
  4. Give me an example of a time you were working in a team and a member was not performing. What specific actions did you take? How did you handle the situation?
  5. Give me an example of a time you worked successfully in a team.
  6. Give me an example of a time when you were disappointed. How did you deal with that disappointment?
  7. Tell me something new you’ve done in the past year. (That was a major and weird curveball)

The interview was about 45 minutes long, and I had enough time to ask 3-4 questions. The interviewer was a bit awkward because she was older and kept checking her iPhone. Her phone even went off during the meeting. The actual interview itself was relatively informal, but when it came to the questioning she got really awkward and told me to wait while she wrote the answers down.

All I can say is, make sure to prepare for your interview by actually speaking your answer outloud to a friend or a mirror or something. I think my examples were okay, but I didn’t necessarily practice how I would speak the response so at times I probably babbled a little bit. We shall see how much the interview impacts my admissions decision!
