Ross MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On Campus / Student

Just interviewed at Ross on Monday. It was the last class visit/interview period prior to finals and spring break. Everyone during the visit was incredibly helpful and welcoming.

  • Walk me through your resume (I’m a Military applicant so my interviewer asked me to explain to him what exactly I did for the Army)
  • Why MBA/Why Ross
  • Tell me about a time you have to work outside the system to accomplish a task (in reference to the complex logistical system in the Military)
  • Tell me about a time you dealt with someone who did perform as well as need and what you did about it.
  • Tell me about a time at work something didn’t go your way and how you reacted to it.
  • What are your interests outside of work.
  • Is Linsanity real?

The interview was about 30 minutes long, and I asked 3 questions. The interview was very laid back. The formal portion didn’t take very long. We talk about Michigan sports quite a bit after I told the interview I was a big basketball fan. Overall, the interview was incredibly relaxed. I would recommend you take a quick glance at the UM athletics as it is quite a big deal to school and my interview was a big sports fan. Just be yourself and you’ll be fine.
