As part of a commitment to attracting talent from different backgrounds and ethnicities, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) features an MBA Diversity Scholars program, which awards outstanding minority MBA applicants with funds to support their graduate management education as well as a summer internship at BCG between their first and second years at business school. The deadline to submit applications is Sunday, April 21st.
“We believe that a diverse organization—in terms of people, perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences—differentiates us and drives our advantage. Consequently, we place tremendous emphasis on attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent at BCG,” reads the BCG website.
The BCG Scholars Program is open to minority professionals of Black/African American and/or Hispanic/Latino descent. Applicants should have outstanding academic and professional achievements, demonstrated leadership in the workplace and community and interest in pursuing a career in consulting. To be eligible, students must matriculate in a qualifying full-time MBA program as part of the Class of 2015 and commit to working as a BCG intern during the summer of 2014.
“Upon acceptance of the BCG Summer Internship, students will be awarded a one-time $5,000 scholarship in the form of a forgivable loan (“Scholarship”),” according to the BCG website.
Candidates selected as part of the application process will be required to participate in an interview process in May and June 2013. BCG Diversity Scholars will be announced in late June 2013.
