Columbia Business School (CBS) has completed its Early Decision and J-term application review and will welcome approximately 200 new students as part of its January intake, the CBS Admission Committee announced earlier this week. Of those, roughly half come to CBS from international locations.
After taking a week’s hiatus from reviewing Regular Decision applications, the Adcom will pick up where it left off after the Thanksgiving holiday and expects to release the first interview invitations during the first week of December.
“We began reviewing Regular Decision applications as of November 17th, in the order in which they were received,” read an email that went out to attendees of the June annual meeting of the Association of International Graduate Admissions Counselors (AIGAC), which took place on the CBS campus.
The Admissions Committee’s goal is to either invite an applicant for an interview or provide a final decision within six weeks of receiving a candidate’s complete application, the email continued. “Candidates we interview should expect to hear back from the Committee within two weeks of our receipt of the interview report,” CBS notes.
CBS is soliciting input from applicants on what kinds of updates they find most helpful during the admissions process, feedback that could shape the kinds of information it communicates in the future. Applicants are invited to contact Michael Robinson at [email protected] or (212) 854-6660 to share their feedback or with any questions.
