My interview was with an adcom member. She mentioned that the interview was deliberately blind and she only had my resume. She encouraged me to feel free to use examples from my application.
Questions were standard, no curveballs: Tell me about yourself. Why MBA? Why Tepper? Leadership experience at work? Hobbies? Instances when I had to work with people from other cultures and what I learned from it. Any questions for me.
The interviewer was very friendly and ended by apologizing that the interview had to be done at this late hour (it was 12:00 AM IST). She didn’t really probe me, but rather encouraged me to share more specifics. We talked casually about my travel experiences, seemed quite enthusiastic about Pittsburgh (that’s where her home was too). It was really surprising how fast 30 minutes passed.
Keeping my fingers crossed for the final decisions now.
