The following Columbia MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Decision applicant. Congratulations to them!
I had an interview at his office after working hours. The atmosphere was quite relaxed. Interview was nice and friendly. I think there were 2 parts on the interview.
1) The first part was like an ice breaker. He asked me to share anything that is not on my resume. Fortunately, he was also interested in the story that I picked. Therefore, we had a great conversation.
2) After that he started asking typical MBA questions.
– What is my career goal?
– Why Columbia?
– What happened with my GPA (I have relatively low GPA)?
– What can I contribute to CBS community?
– How can I distinguish myself form peers?
– Name 5 adjectives that describe my leadership styles (He picked one adjective from the list and asked me to give specific example about it)
I thought I did well on the interview, but not the best of me. I got an offer from CBS 1 week later. It was the GREATEST news this year.
