The following Harvard MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!
My interview was with the director of admissions. She had read my application and had clearly thought about tons of questions based on what I had written. She even referenced one of those tiny form fields about “your biggest accomplishment” at one of my jobs.
The structure of the interview was very much along the lines of “walk me through your résumé” but she spiced it up with questions about my family, my knowledge of my college major, and how I would apply my work experience to the HBS environment. A lot of those questions were incredibly tailored and, as a result, incredibly surprising. She asked me questions that I had never considered before.
Overall, the atmosphere was pretty relaxed. She was very understanding of nerves, etc. She did her best to make me feel comfortable.
