The following UPenn / Wharton MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!
The TBD was punctual and to the point. No time was wasted as we all started with introductions that included your pitch for the expo/conference to hold at Wharton, right after the committee introduced themselves (2 second-year students). Everyone’s pitch took about an average of 50 seconds so we had enough time to discuss, come to a conclusion, and present to the committee with everyone contributing all within the allotted time. Our team tried to mesh a couple of the ideas together which allowed us all to contribute in some way, shape or form. The 10-minute one-on-one felt extremely friendly and conversational.
Questions asked:
1. Tell me about yourself (asked in such a way like ‘Who is [insert your name]’). Included both personal & career background in my answer.
2. Why Wharton?
3. What are your short and long-term goals.
4. Asked a question about a personal hobby I had listed in my resume.
The one-on-one went by very quickly being that it was only 10 minutes but very enjoyable.
