The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Action applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them!
I applied Early Action and interviewed on campus before submitting my application. I highly recommend this, as I was able to incorporate details of my visit into my essays and obviously demonstrate my interest to the Admissions Board.
I had a class visit before my interview which I’d also recommend, because it gives you something else to discuss (what did you learn about culture/fit, etc.). My interview was very conversational and straightforward. Huge, huge focus on why Tuck and my fit with the community at the school / how I would contribute (remember, it’s a small school and everyone has to contribute something unique to the experience).
These were the questions I was asked:
1. Why MBA?
2. Why Tuck?
3. What types of activities would you want to be involved with here?
4. Why are you a fit for Tuck?
5. What can you contribute in the classroom?
6. Post MBA goals?
7. Describe team experience / leadership experience
8. Questions for me? (A lot of time for questions so be prepared).
9. Small talk, etc.
My second-year was professional but very nice and seemed to genuinely want to get to know me. I had a great day. I was ultimately admitted with a generous scholarship.
