The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant.
I interviewed with a second-year student via Tuck’s open interview policy. The interview was conducted one-on-one in a small conference room on-campus.
I was asked:
1. Did you already have your class visit? Which class/professor?
2. Walk me through your work experience so far.
2a. Offshoot/clarifying question about technology differences in international markets of my industry.
3. Why MBA?
4. Why Tuck?
5. What are some specific classes you are interested in attending?
6. What clubs might you join at Tuck?
7. Describe an experience in which you utilized teamwork.
Overall, the interviewer was very nice and friendly. The entire process took almost exactly 30 minutes (and he glanced over my head at the clock at one point in an attempt to stay on schedule).
I was then allowed to ask any questions I had about the program/experience. Based on my interview, I think it is safe to say professionalism is important to the admissions committee at Tuck. Although kind and approachable, I wouldn’t describe the interviewer or the experience as “laid-back” or “informal.”
