The following Stanford MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant.
I met with my interviewer in a coffee shop and the interview lasted about 75 minutes. It was extremely conversational and incredibly friendly, the friendliest interview I had out of all schools. The interviewer was weaving in and out from trying to get to know me to probing leadership examples/stories for him to get a sense of my leadership style and how I act in those roles. All my questions were leadership questions related to every single one of my jobs on my résumé.
Stanford is definitely looking for leaders and opportunity makers so reflect back to all major leadership roles/tasks from your prior jobs and know them well before going into the interview. I suspect interview questions differ across candidates so its hard to predict what they may ask being that the questions I got very directly related to my career path. Be yourself for this one and don’t try to be what you think Stanford wants to hear! Authenticity is key.
