The following Yale SOM interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant.
I just finished the Video Interview for Yale SOM’s application. The questions were:
1. Why is now the time for you to pursue an MBA?
2. Tell us about a time when you fell behind on a task/deadline. Why did you fall behind, and what steps did you take to catch up?
3. “The People who we remember most are the people who break the rules.” Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
After finishing, I think the most important part about the video interview is to use the practice portion as much as possible. I ran through the practice questions for about a half hour, and I could see very clear progression in myself. It really sucks to not be able to review your answers at all, so I honestly have no idea if any of my progression carried over into the actual questions.
