The following Duke / Fuqua interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them!
I had my Duke Fuqua interview last week over Skype and it was a very relaxed conversation. It was with a member of Fuqua’s admissions office but he had not read my application. It was a blind interview and I had to submit my CV in advance to the interviewer.
The interviewer told me what the flow of the interview would be, just as we started and the pattern followed it.
1) Undergraduate education – What did you learn, why the particular specialisation?
2) Graduate degree – Why this degree? How was the experience?
3) Internship during graduate degree. What was the internship about? Key learnings?
4) Journey and growth at work. Discussed about my promotions and any particular reasons why I felt I was promoted.
5) Discussed my managerial responsibilities and whether I manage a team and how?
6) Why Duke? What research have you done about Fuqua? Have you spoken to any Alumni or students? If yes, who?
7) Any questions for me?
The interview was extremely conversational and relaxed. The interviewer also gave me some good advice about my career goals and how Duke would help in achieving them.
