The following Duke / Fuqua interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them!
Went to campus for the interview. Watched a class before hand. After mingled in lobby with current students. Was all very relaxed and everyone was very welcoming.
The interview was blind. But that student had looked at my resume before hand and and had questions specific to my résumé.
Questions asked include the following not all in order.
- Tell me about yourself
- Why MBA?
- Tell me about your previous employer? (she had not heard of the non-profit I worked for)
- What is your leadership style?
- If I were to ask someone who doesn’t like you at work, what would they say why they don’t like you?
- Tell me about a time you had to change someones mind?
- Tell me about your strengths and your weaknesses?
- Tell me about constructive feedback you’ve received and about feedback you’ve given?
- What is your proudest accomplishment personally or professionally?
- Why Fuqua? What drew you to the school and how will you contribute? (these three were combined into one multi part question).
- What is your ideal position after MBA?
I felt like my interviewer had different ideas for how she wanted me to contribute to the Fuqua community. That has left me a bit unsure of how it went but overall a very relaxed interview. Lasted exactly one hour.
