The following Cornell / Johnson MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 3 applicant. Good luck to them!
Interviewed with an associate director of admissions. The interview was conversational in nature, and semi-blind. The interviewer had not read my application but, of course others had, and gave her questions to ask.
The interviewer ran through basic interview questions such as:
• Why an MBA now?
• Tell me about yourself
• What is a weakness of yours?
• Why Johnson? How can Johnson help you achieve your goals?
• What co you consider your greatest achievement?
She also asked other more specific / wild-card questions such as:
• What other schools are you applying to and why? What are the connections between those schools?
• What are the two strongest parts of your application?
• If I had to condense my interview into 3 bullet points, what would those bullet points be?
Overall, these questions lasted ~35 minutes. We then spent 5-10 minutes discussing some questions I had about the program.
