The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Action Round Applicant.
I interviewed at Tuck two weeks before officially submitting my application. I flew to Boston from the West Coast and took the Dartmouth coach up to campus. I arrived late so I went to bed after grabbing a bite to eat. The following morning, I hopped on the hotel shuttle to campus and went to the admissions office to sign in. I received a name-badge and I was shown to the waiting room. Right on schedule a second-year student arrived – we introduced ourselves and walked about 4 minutes down the hall to a conference room for the interview.
It was very conversational – no surprises. Some of the questions asked were:
Walk me through your résumé.
Why MBA? Why Tuck? Why now?
What do you want to do after graduating from Tuck?
Application specific questions:
Tell me about this transition? How was this team different than your old team?
Then he asked if I had any questions for him. I asked him about the global initiative at Tuck and if he could tell me about his experience there.
Overall I thought I did very well and it was a very straightforward interview. It lasted 35 minutes.
