The following Duke Fuqua interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!
The total feelings about the school and Durham are fine. I especially like the class visit, super interesting! When we were waiting for the interview, the lunch and class visits, there were some current students staying there and chatting with us. Very thoughtful.
The interview lasted around 40mins. Questions were:
1. Tell me about your self.
2. Why MBA?
3. Why Fuqua?
4. Some follow up questions in my work.
5. What are the qualifications of a good leader?
6. One experience when you led a team.
7. How do your friends describe you.
8. One feedback you received and how did you respond to it.
9. One thing you regretted.
10. Q&A.
In general, I don’t feel so good about the interview, because the interviewer seemed a little bit impatient and interrupted when I was talking twice. The answers to my questions in the Q&A session were also very short. I was surprised actually (I expected the interviewer would be super nice like they claimed in the culture).
