The following U. Chicago Booth interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!
I was interviewed by a Booth alumnus at Mumbai, India. My interview was very conversational and friendly. Interview was held in the interviewer’s office. After initial ice-breaking questions like “how was your journey?” etc. she covered the following topics/ questions.
1. Walk me through your résumé. She asked me specific clarifications as I went on explaining about my professional experience.
2. What kind of challenges you faced during your career? How do you approach them?
3. Looks like you have such a successfull career in your company? Why do you want to MBA?
4. Why specifically from Booth? You must have
5. What are your short term and long term goals? (We talked a bit about the industry I work in)
6. What are future trends in your industry?
7. When was the last time you had to take an unpopular stand? (She asked me some follow-up questions)
8. Is your family supportive of moving to US? How are they taking it?
9. Do you have any questions for me? (She gave some good insights about Booth)
She used to follow-up by one or two subsequent question after every major question. Overall experience was good and I came out feeling good about the interview.
