The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!
My interview was at 3:30. I spent the morning going to class, having lunch with students and taking a tour of the campus. The atmosphere was really relaxed. I got to meet a lot of other students throughout the day. In fact, I met everyone who would be in my team based discussion before getting into the room.
The team based discussion went quickly. Everyone in my group was very involved and respectful of each others ideas. It’s hard to tell in such a contrived environment but I think we did a good job overall. We each played a unique role and spent a relatively even amount of time talking. My recommendations are keep a close eye on the time and use the whiteboard. It will make the presentation go much more smoothly if you have everyone looking at the same notes.
One-on-One afterwards was fairly straightforward. Don’t forget to bring a copy of your resume! the second year student uses this as their sole introduction to you and may ask you a few questions off of it. The one-on-one was only 10 min. First two questions were how do you think you did in TBD and was it indicative of how you normally interact in a group. If there’s time they’ll ask you some more questions after a quick perusal of your resume.
I have to think they are still weighing the rest of your application very heavily at this point as I can’t imagine the TBD weeded that many people out.
