The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!
I arrived 15 minutes prior to the scheduled team-based discussion. Met with the fellow prospective students who are part of my team-based exercise. We were six prospective students coming from various backgrounds. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly.
The adcom then called all six of us to a room with a big table, in which each one of us had a name tag. We made a short intro about our selves (1 minute long), and then the adcom explained the rules of the exercise and started a countdown timer of 35 minutes. During such 35 minutes, each student pitched his/her idea – a really short 1 minute pitch and then the team chose my idea.
In the discussion we structured my idea, with the adcom writing a lot of notes. At the last 5 minute we pitched the idea to the adcom and then the exercise was over.
Thereafter, the adcom called each prospective student to a short one-on-one 10 minute interview.
The interview was very high level – the adcom asked me about my military service, why Wharton and why I want to pursue the business analytics major.
Now it’s the waiting game until the decision date next month. My advice is to come relaxed and go with the flow.
Good luck to everyone!
