The following UT Austin / McCombs interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!
This was a Skype interview with a second-year student at McCombs. He only had access to my resume prior to the interview.
The interview itself started about 15 minutes late due to technical issues with Skype. We eventually connected but my video froze about 3 minutes into the conversation. The interviewer elected to continue the interview with my audio only, though I could still see and hear him.

- Brief discussion of undergraduate education
- Walk me through your résumé and explain skills you developed
- Tell me about a time where you resolved conflict in the workplace
- What are your short-term and long-term goals?
- What industry are you interested in?
- What will you do if your post-MBA goals don’t materialize? What’s your backup plan?
- Why are you considering an MBA at McCombs?
- How do you see yourself being involved on campus?
- Tell me something about yourself that’s not on your résumé
- Do you have any questions for me?
It was an interview format, but the interviewer was friendly and very open in his answers to my questions at the end.
