The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them!
I met with my interviewer over lunch as we worked in the vicinity of one another. The atmosphere was casual. The interviewer provided his background and talked a little about his career post-Kellogg. I then shared my background before we jumped into the interview.
We then proceeded to a walk me through your résumé question.
Next was:
- Why an MBA?
- What are your short term goals and long term goals?
After that we jumped into behavioral questions.
- What piece of feedback have you received early in your career and how have you grown or changed because of it?
- Describe a time when you were on a team that faced an obstacle. What did you do to help your team succeed?
- What do you consider to be your most significant professional accomplishment, and what impact has that had on you?
- What is the most difficult part of your job and how have you addressed it? What did you learn about yourself from this process?
- Describe a time you took a risk.
- What do you do outside of work?
After these questions, we jumped back to Kellogg
- Why Kellogg?
- How would you make a unique contribution to your Kellogg class?
- What clubs do you want to be part of while at Kellogg?
I then had time to ask my questions about Kellogg.
This process took about 45 minutes. Nothing came as too big of a surprise as the interview felt like it was extrapolating information that Kellogg cares about (i.e. how do you work in teams? how do you face adversity? what gives you your drive?)
