The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!
I interviewed at the Wharton Beijing Hub with four other applicants in the same group and one adcom.
Here’s the whole process:
We arrived more than 30 minutes before our time slot and settled at a meeting room. We got to know each other and everyone’s background a little bit.
When the adcom came, she asked for our résumés (some of us didn’t bring a copy but the hub had printers) and led us to the interview room. Adcom explained the interview process and then she didn’t speak a word when the team-based discussion started.
As instructed, we went around the group and gave a brief self-introductions. Then went around again to give our pitch. Then went naturally to team-based discussion.
Our discussion went quite efficiently. We had a time-keeper, someone taking notes on the whiteboard and everyone contributed to enrich the theme. The discussion went so smoothly that after we covered all the questions, we still had time to present the whole discussion to the adcom. The whole process was integrated and well-structured.
Afterward, we were each called to the adcom for one-on-one interview with others waiting in the meeting room. The adcom asked how I think the discussion went, what is my post-mba goal and offered me time to ask her questions.
