The following Yale MBA interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them!
The interview was very formulaic. When I entered the room, the Admissions associate introduced herself and then told me that the interview would be 30 minutes and 6 questions. They used to allow alumni and current students to hold interviews, but said that was too hard to standardize/judge. AdCom said she hadn’t read my file, but did have my résumé in hand.
Questions were:
- Walk me through your résumé.
- Why an MBA/why now?
- One success at work/why was it meaningful. One failure at work/why was it meaningful.
- Short description of Yale community, then what will you contribute?
- Anything else I should know? Anything you’d like to highlight?
- Any questions for me?
Pretty straightforward, lasted 20 minutes only.
