Its author, Clear Admit’s own Alex Brown, brings nearly 25 years of experience in the MBA admissions industry as a consultant, admissions officer, and teacher, including seven years as senior associate director of admissions at the Wharton School.

Like the initial version released in August 2016, this updated version of Becoming a Clear Admit offers an insightful guide for anyone approaching the MBA admissions process, one that provides fascinating background and an in-depth overview of why the MBA admissions process is the way it is. It also offers practical, actionable advice for applicants on how to make the most of the MBA experience, create the strongest possible application and demonstrate to the admissions committee why you belong in a given MBA class.

Alex Brown was a leader in admissions while at Wharton, he has delivered with authority with this book.”

Director, GMAC & former Wharton Admissions Committee Member

New Section on Video Essays
This latest version also includes a new section on video essays, reflecting the increasing use of this medium in MBA admissions. The profile section has also been reordered slightly to better reflect the importance of the first four aspects of profile: ethnicity, gender, country of origin and industry. And the fit section has been adjusted to reflect the importance of careers and location versus aspects of culture.

These last adjustments come in response to feedback Brown received from leading admissions directors at top global business schools. This latest version also includes an up-to-date list of essay questions used by more than two dozen schools in the most recent admissions season.
