The following Michigan Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!
The Skype’s interview was led by a second year student at Ross. Interviewer was super friendly and went through standard list of questions such as what’s your story, why Ross, why do I need MBA now, and how would my friends describe my top 3 strengths. At the end, my interviewer threw me a curve ball and asked me “What can you teach me in 30 seconds?” I was not expecting anything like that but kept my cool and told him how to give a compliment to an Italian lady if he happens to travel to Italy. “Complimenti alla mamma, sei fantastica! “ – Compliments to your mom, you look fantastic! I know it is cheesy but my interviewer loved it, as we sat there laughing and admiring my horrible accent (I studied Italian back in the days). It turned out that the interviewer is part Italian and planed visiting Italy post-MBA. Anyways, after that laugh I asked 4 questions about his Ross experience and we ended the call. Overall, I really enjoyed the process and I am guessing the interviewer felt the same. Prior to my interview, I spoke with +10 Ross alumni and students and all of them left a great impression about the school. Super friendly, un-entitled, neighborly, intelligent, and just hard working guys. It is not surprising that Ross was ranked #7 this year.
