As promised, Chad Losee, Harvard Business School (HBS) managing director of MBA admissions and financial aid, took to his blog to share more about the logistics of the interview process for Round 2.
So, what can you expect in the coming week? Here’s a quick view of important dates and details Losee shared:
January 28th, Noon EST
Applicants should check their Application Status page as this is when the “first wave” of interview invitations will be released.
January 29th, Noon EST
“First wave” interviewees can begin to sign up for an interview slot.
January 31st, Noon EST
Applicants should check their Application Status page as this is when the “second wave” of interview invitations will be issued (as well as any “early release” notices to those who are not selected to interview). Those invited to interview can also begin to sign up for interview slots (Losee assures there will still be spots left!).
The process of evaluating applications sounds like it has been a profound one; Losee noted, “I remember how much heart you pour into an application, and we definitely have felt that as we have gotten to know you.”
Now that you have the highlights of the key dates, there are a few more details to note. Losee shared that the “first wave” will cover about two-thirds of candidates invited to interview. He also posted the location options for scheduling interviews: Mumbai, Dubai, Tokyo, Shanghai, London, Paris, Bay Area California, and Boston (on campus). No matter where you choose to conduct your interview, the process will be the same and they will be regarded in the same manner.
In addition to checking your Application Status page, you can also expect MBA LiveWire to light up with news from applicants reporting interview invitations. And if there are any snags or delays in the release, reports of those will surely surface on LiveWire as well. You could choose—optimistically—to spend your waiting time preparing for an interview. The Clear Admit HBS Interview Guide can give you an important head start. It’s packed with vital, up-to-date interview preparation guidance, including commonly asked questions and advice on how to form strategy around the post-interview leg of the process.
Advice from actual interviewees, meanwhile, can be found in the following post:

And as always, remember that the Clear Admit Interview Archive also offers a repository of applicant-submitted details about the interview process.
We second Losee’s closing remark: “We wish you all well.”
