The interview was rather informal, held in a local Starbucks. My interviewer, an alumnus, was very friendly and started the interview telling me about her career and her experience at Ross. Then, we formally started the interview switching to English (we are from Peru so we speak Spanish).
Questions
- Walk me through your resume
- Why Ross?
- Why an MBA now?
- What are your career goals?
- What are your best traits?
- How did you act in certain situations? (e.g. showed leadership, ethical dilemma, work with your team)
- Tell me about the feedback your manager gave you.
The interview went smoothly, we connected, made a few jokes about the differences between Peru and Ann Arbor. We switched back to Spanish to talk about her life and experience at Ross and her post MBA career. She answered my questions very honestly with pros and cons, best and not so good moments in her career. All in all, we had a great conversation and I got to learn a lot about Ross.
