This edition of Real Humans: MBA Students takes us to Spain. Located in the heart of Barcelona, IESE Business School offers exceptional opportunities and resources for MBAs. IESE embodies a global approach to the MBA experience with campuses and alliances in Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Offerings include a bilingual MBA Diploma and a Business Spanish Program. Programs run 15 or 19 months in length and boast a 90 percent post-graduate placement in top jobs within three months.

In 2018, The Economist ranked IESE the #1 MBA in Europe. The Financial Times ranked IESE #1 in Executive Education five years in a row. Incoming students can immediately connect to the support this institution offers with on-campus information sessions on living in Barcelona, financial aid, and IESE generally. Families of incoming IESE students are invited to sample Spanish tapas and become familiar with what studying in exciting Barcelona will involve.

The incoming class at IESE is made up of 85 percent international students with over 55 nationalities represented.  IESE’s international approach to business is clearly exemplified by its Global Leadership Series, which brings leaders in business and politics to speak at IESE campus. Visiting speakers include former prime ministers, vice presidents, CEOs, and chairs of multinationals: Top tier talent brought to speak at IESE include Bruno di Leo, Lech Walesa, Guy Kawasaki, Ermengildo Zegna, and Romano Prodi.

Incoming IESE students earned GMAT scores averaging 681 and have an average of five years job experience.  Just under a third of the 350-person class are women.  Read on for on-the-ground perspective from new members of IESE’s dynamic MBA Class of 2021.
