The whole interview was very conversational, and the interviewer had a lot of questions about my work experience and career choices. It was a blind interview. She also said that if she keeps on looking elsewhere and writing something during the interview, I should not be distracted as she will be taking down the notes for her reference.
List of questions:
- Please walk me through your career post-college.
- What are your long term and short-term goals?
- What is it that Georgetown McDonough has to contribute towards your goals?
- An instance where I have shown leadership/ taken an initiative.
- What are my key strengths and how have I utilized them in my past work experience?
- What is it that I like to do during my free time?
- Any questions that I want to ask.
Overall the interview went for 35 minutes and she didn’t ask any follow-up questions to my answers.
I received an offer yesterday.
I would advise that candidates should be thorough with what he/she has written on the resume. There should not be any difference between the outcomes/ numbers mentioned in the resume and the one that you speak during the interview. Also, please have 4-5 instances prepared about your work where you have shown leadership/ teamwork/ challenge / conflict resolution skills. Such instances will help you a lot while coming up with answers to behavioral questions.
