Why business school? Why now?
I noticed that I was getting further and further away from my ultimate goal of working in Marketing, so I decided to apply to business school as a way to make a pivot in my career as well as sharpen current skills and learn new ones.
Why Rochester Simon? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
As a Rochester native, Simon (University of Rochester) is one of the most elite Universities where I am from. Being able to attend Simon has been nothing short of an amazing opportunity. My biggest reason for choosing Simon was the family-oriented environment. Over the years I have visited Simon a few times and have always felt welcomed and a part of something larger than myself.
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2022?
I have a strong Marketing background. In addition, my background is very diverse. I helped my classmates with interviewing skills, speaking tips, organization, event ideas and so much more. Believe it or not, I also tutored a few on Managerial Economics, and again, I do not have a quantitative background. So if you’re like me and do not come from a heavy quant background do not underestimate your contribution.
Fun fact that didn’t get included on your application?
I met Oprah at the beginning of this year. Probably one of the best experiences of my life!
Post-MBA career interests?
My top three companies are Target, Johnson & Johnson, and Starbucks. My desired role is a Brand Manager.
Advice to current prospective applicants:

I would absolutely apply to Simon all over again! This has been one of the best decisions I have made!
–One thing you would change or do differently?
I would have taken MBA math over the summer to better prepare myself for the quant classes.
–Part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
Consortium OP was very intense but I am happy I got through it. My classmates were a big help as well as the admissions staff, Nate and Kelly.
