I applied during the Early Action admissions round. I knew that I would have the interview with an admissions team member and a current student from an event that I attended earlier. The admissions member explained during the interview that the second-year student is joining us to observe mainly. The interview was very conversational. Starting with telling my story, why I want to pursue an MBA, why now, why Darden. Nothing out of ordinary. I wouldn’t say the interviewer explicitly asked me why MBA, why Darden, but it was more my story led me to talk about those areas. At first, I was a little worried as my interviewer was not writing down anything I was saying. But later when I had a few more interviews with other schools I felt I could express myself better when someone wasn’t looking away to take notes. It was a great interview and felt relaxed enough to ask a few questions about Darden culture and student life.
1. Tell your story.
2. Why did you chose ‘ABC’ for your undergraduate degree?
3. Why do you want to pursue an MBA/Why now?
4. Why Darden?
