Hometown: McConnelsville, OH
Undergraduate Institution and Major: Ohio Wesleyan University, Business

Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I worked with brand managers in my previous role and I wanted to use my MBA to pivot from market research to working in brand or general management. COVID downtime led me to prepare to apply for this year.

Why did you choose OSU Fisher? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
I am from Ohio and have always heard about how great Fisher is. Columbus has so many F-500’s that recruit from Fisher and the area is exploding with growth so it’s somewhere I can see myself long-term.

What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2023?
I think that my role as a client insights analyst gave me so much cross-functional experience and I really gained insight into what projects you can expect in different corporate functions and what skills are transferable to each of them.

Tell us a fun fact that didn’t get included on your application:
Like many others I developed a habit of going on daily walks during COVID and I love getting to explore!

Post-MBA career interests:
General Management or Brand Management

Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:

– What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
Started working on essays early!

– What is one thing you would change or do differently?
Try to worry less once you submit and are waiting on your acceptance.

What is your initial impression of the OSU Fisher students/culture/community?
Fisher students are incredibly welcoming. Some of the other students who are also interested in the same career path as I am have already been helping each other out by sending each other open applications and sharing contacts/tips.

Has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your personal application or admissions process in any way? If so, how?
The downtime that COVID provided is what motivated me to apply for this year. I realized I would never have that amount of downtime again.

What is one thing you are most anxious about in your first year?
The recruiting process heating up!

What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
ALSO the recruiting process heating up!
