Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I’ve always wanted to work within the film industry and eventually open my own independent film studio. I was already planning on moving to LA to pursue my passion, but once the pandemic hit and shut everything down, I had to pivot plans. I didn’t want to waste any time, and I felt that USC could provide me with the connections and education to best position me to make the transition to the film industry.
Why did you choose USC Marshall? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
For me the number of alumni within the entertainment industry was big for me. Plus the Trojan Entertainment Network, a private group of MFA and MBAs, seemed like a passionate group that supported each other. That sort of community is a unique draw that USC has. This network and getting to live in LA, where I’ve always wanted to be, were the deciding factors for me.
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2023?
Oh wow, I’d say my extensive experience in business helps me provide guidance and support to my fellow students. I also am an AVP of community in MGSA so I try to bring the class together as much as I can. Keep it a welcoming space for people to mingle, bond, and grow.

Not really, besides pushing me towards business school in the first place.

The rapid turnaround into internship networking and recruitment. No time to settle in and learn, so you have to be efficient with your time.

Exploring LA. I love this city and want to spend as much time diving into it and it’s various cultures.
