Interviewed with a recent alum on Feb 10, 2022. Very casual and friendly. They had my resume, but had not seen my application. The interview lasted for 30 minutes.
Questions:
• I’ve already looked through your resume so I won’t ask you to walk me through your resume. Instead, what about your experiences do you most want me to know?
• Why MBA?
• Why Ross?
• (Follow-up question to “Why Ross?”) That’s a great interview answer. What’s your real answer? (note: this really threw me off, but I think it was actually a great opportunity to pivot from my more scripted answer to just talking about the common traits I admire in Ross students/alums)
• What would you want to do in Ann Arbor while at Ross?
• How did you navigate college as a 1st gen student?
I was surprised that they didn’t ask any behavioral questions. Instead, they seemed to really listen to my answers and ask questions specific to something I shared. It seems like they really cared about getting to know me on a deeper level and making sure I understood what’s unique about the Ross community. Very positive experience.
