Courtney Bragg T’18, Co-founder of Fabric Health

Courtney Bragg is an educator turned healthcare operator. She is Co-founder of Fabric Health, a startup providing trusted, last-mile engagement by meeting busy families where they are, in the time they have. Fabric works in laundromats across Philadelphia and is expanding to Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.

Previously, she was Vice President of Product and Market Launch at Virtudent, a preventive mobile health startup. Courtney served on founding teams at KIPP DC, a non-profit network of charter schools in the U.S. and Nova Pioneer in South Africa, an independent school network.

Read on for what Courtney found at Tuck and how it stands out from other MBA programs.

What does your current business do and what is your impact on the world?
Courtney Bragg: Thirty-two million Americans spend two hours every week waiting at laundromats. Fabric leverages these overlooked community assets to become centers for community and health engagement. By engaging people where they are, in the time they have, Fabric increases access to services and resources that improve health and wellbeing.

Why was Tuck the right business school for you?
CB: I asked the same questions at every business school, including questions about their programme’s culture, the most underleveraged aspect of the MBA experience, and what to know beyond the school’s website. The Tuck students and faculty were far more reflective and engaged. Walking through the hallways and among the pines, I knew Tuck was different. I immediately got the sense that there was a level of intentionality and community gained by opting into the Tuck experience.

What about the Tuck MBA impacted your life and career the most?
CB: People talk about the Tuck network and joke about Tuckies’ responsiveness and commitment. It’s true. But it also extends to the faculty and staff. A friend at a different MBA programme remarked she was going to go to office hours to meet her professors. I had just come from dinner at one of my professor’s homes.

Tuck is different from start to finish. I am still close with many of my classmates and professors. They were and continue to be my biggest champions.
