We head to Atlanta, Georgia, for this edition of Real Humans: MBA Students to meet some new members of the MBA Class of 2024 at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
The Emory MBA Class of 2024 is comprised of 110-150 students. Half of the class are international and a third are women. Thirteen percent of the class identify as African American, Hispanic / Latinx, or Native American / Alaskan. New Emory MBA students averaged 5.6 years of work experience upon matriculating. The middle 80 percent of their GMAT scores ranged from 640 to 740.
The smaller class size lends itself to a more intimate learning environment, which many of the featured candidates cite as a reason for choosing Goizueta. The 5:1 student to faculty ratio also adds to a close knit culture. Meanwhile, the location appealed to new students as well. Goizueta Business School is located within Emory University’s main campus in the picturesque suburban Druid Hills section of Atlanta, less than 30 minutes from the Atlanta International Airport. The campus is within driving distance of downtown Atlanta and the Buckhead financial district, both of which house numerous Fortune 500 and 100 companies.
Read on for the personal accounts of new Emory Goizueta MBA students, their impressions of the community and advice for making it through admissions.
