The University of Southern California Marshall School of Business 2022 MBA employment report reveals that 97 percent of its MBAs reported accepting job offers within three months of graduation–the highest in Marshall’s history. The average base salary for the Marshall MBA Class of 2022 is $150,314, a near $20k jump over last year’s class. Average signing bonuses landed at $37218, compared to $29,473 for the Class of 2021.
A majority of careers were school-facilitated, with nearly 82 percent reporting they received their job placement through a career center program, summer internship, school network, scheduled interviews or job posting in the school system/resume book.
Industry & Regional Placement
Twenty-nine percent of USC Marshall graduates entered the tech field, followed by 21 percent in consulting and 20 percent in financial services. The school tallies entertainment and interactive gaming jobs together in a single category, and 10 percent of the class entered those career paths. Healthcare cracked the top five industry choices at six percent this year.

Eighty-seven percent of the Class of 2022 stayed in the Western U.S. for work, with 81 percent alone residing in California. Breaking down the rest of the U.S. by region, seven percent went to the Northeast and four percent to the Southwest. Just one percent landed in the South U.S. One percent headed overseas for work.

Regionally, the highest average salary was reported in the Northeast at $162,667, and by industry, consultant jobs paid the highest average salaries at $169,559.
