Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
After founding a successful medical startup and working for years as an AI-health researcher, I realized that attending a top business school like Johns Hopkins Carey is the essential next step to expand my impact and introduce healthcare innovations on a global scale.

Why did you choose Johns Hopkins Carey? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
Carey is definitely unique when it comes to healthcare-related endeavors. Being in Johns Hopkins means access to the world’s greatest researchers and innovators in my field which is something that does not happen in any other business school. Also, The school truly takes a forward-thinking and revolutionary approach when it comes to cutting-edge skills, such as the use of generative AI for the modern era, which is unlike more traditional programs.

What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2025?
As an Iranian woman pursuing business education in America, I bring a unique cultural perspective to my MBA class. Having built a healthcare startup in my home country, I understand the challenges of innovating and accessing technology in emerging markets. This global outlook allows me to contribute diverse insights into strategies for affordably delivering healthcare solutions to underserved communities worldwide.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
I love skiing and horseback riding and try to spend weekends enjoying outdoor activities and nature as much as I can.

Post-MBA career interests:

Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
Attend all alumni and student events offered to learn more about culture. The community makes the experience.

–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
I would have started preparing my application materials earlier. Beginning the process sooner would have allowed more time for self-reflection and refinement.

–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
The GRE was extremely stressful and time-consuming to prepare for while working full-time. Having a study group kept me motivated during the long prep period. Overall, my passion for attending a prestigious business school and visualizing the outcome inspired me to persist through the GRE and complete a competitive application.
