My interview was for MIT on November 7th (Round 1), and it was with an adcom member over Zoom. The interview atmosphere was formal, but friendly. The first question was to describe my data essay in more detail and what were the takeaways. Besides that, she mostly asked me about my background (tell me about job experiences), if there were any updates since I submitted my application, and a few “tell me about a time” scenario questions. At the end, she left some time for me to ask questions as well. I was surprised she didn’t really ask much about why MIT specifically, and the interview was more focused on my background and experiences. I have not received my admissions decision yet (coming out next week).
