Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I saw this as an excellent way to learn business-related hard skills and pivot to the private sector after military service.
Why did you choose OSU Fisher? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
Location and connections in Central Ohio. The region has a strong job market with good earnings potential as well as a very reasonable cost of living.
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to The Ohio State Fisher College of Business Class of 2025?
Being a professionally trained leader and teammate with almost a decade of experience in both.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
I love growing vegetables, particularly absurdly spicy peppers.

Brand and/or product management in either consumer packaged goods or financial services.

–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
Reach out to current students, especially those in your affinity group.
–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
Apply for more scholarships – it’s free money, and you have nothing to lose by applying.
–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
Standardized tests, start studying early. Give yourself enough time to retake it if you are not happy with your score.
What is your initial impression of the OSU Fisher students/culture/community?
I love the down-to-earth, midwestern attitude. We’re here to learn from each other and help each other reach their goals.
What is one thing you have learned about OSU Fisher that has surprised you?
Although I want to plant roots in central Ohio, the Buckeye network is everywhere.
What is one thing you are most anxious about in your first year?
Getting an internship offer.
What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
Building a network and meaningful relationships with other members of the program.
