I was matched to someone who was from a family business, to match my background.
Interview lasted for 33 min (him asking me questions) + 30 min for me to ask him questions. Was very smooth and conversational.
1. What are you up to these days?
2. What is the plan post MBA?
3. Why MBA and why now?
4. What is the plan as to succession in fam biz?
5. Tell me about a time you failed.
6. Tell me about a time when you were blocked from something.
There were a few follow-ups for him to understand the scenarios better. Felt it odd that he didn’t ask me why Stanford, but I tried to slip it in when I asked him questions. I guess each alumnus is different in how they conduct an interview.
Overall, was a nice experience!
