Very casual – my interviewer started by briefly telling me about herself and then mentioned that she had 6 questions to ask me. The first was to give my academic and professional history/experience, and to include any relevant information from my upbringing. She then asked about my short-term/long-term goals, then why an MBA and why Darden.
I did the majority of the talking for the first 30 minutes, the final 15 minutes was then a Q&A.
I will say the most challenging part was that our personalities were a bit different, I had a bit more enthusiasm and excitement whereas she was a bit less enthusiastic and gave some mundane “oh okay’s” and “sounds good.” I wasn’t sure if that meant I was doing too much talking or if it was as expected. The Q&A portion, though, was really conversational and engaging from both parties. Overall it felt very easy-going and you mostly need to be prepared to talk about your experience and why an MBA/why Darden.
