I joined the call 2 mins before the scheduled time; however, the interviewer was 5 mins late to the video call. He apologized multiple times for the delay and we started informally with talking about our personal lives. He works in the same industry as mine, hence it was easy for me to connect with him.
Questions asked to me minutes:
– Why MBA? Why GSB?
– TMAT you showed positive results.
– TMAT you managed different types of stakeholders (diversity and function).
– Why did you switch jobs 3 times in your professional career?
– TMAT you dealt with failure.
– Tell me about your strengths.
– How do you see yourself contributing to the GSB community?
– Goals after completing MBA from GSB?
Questions I asked him:
– How did he prioritize academics, recruiting and social life at GSB?
– One thing he misses the most about the MBA life at GSB?
The interview lasted for about 40-45 minutes. Overall, it was very casual and the interviewer seemed very interested in my life story. I would advise all interviewees to be as real as possible and don’t treat the MBA interview as a job interview
