After joining BPCL as a mechanical engineer, my role quickly transitioned into a managerial one, where I led large-scale projects, managed diverse teams, and developed sustainable strategies. I realized that I thrived in the challenges of overseeing complex operations and driving impactful results. This experience sparked my interest in understanding of the broader business domain, particularly in strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. Pursuing an MBA now feels like the natural next step to build on this foundation, gain a more structured understanding of business principles, and further my career in supply chain management, where I can make more significant contributions to larger strategic goals.
Why did you choose Ohio Fisher? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
I chose to pursue my MBA at Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business because of its strong reputation in supply chain and operations management, which perfectly aligns with my goal to accelerate my career in this field. Fisher’s MBA Pathways also offer the flexibility to tailor my education to my specific career objectives, ensuring a customized and relevant learning experience. Additionally, OSU’s extensive alumni network and vast resources provide invaluable support and open doors to numerous opportunities for professional growth.
Another significant factor in my decision was Fisher’s distinctive global education programs, such as the Global Applied Projects. These initiatives allow students to tackle real-world challenges faced by international companies, fostering a deep understanding of global business dynamics. Moreover, Fisher’s small and highly selective cohort creates a close-knit, collaborative community, where I can form meaningful relationships and thrive both personally and professionally.
