We are shipping off to Boston for this edition of our Real Humans: MBA Students series to meet some new members of the Boston College Carroll School of Management MBA Class of 2026.

The new class is comprised of 95 students. A quarter are women and 26 percent are international. Another 26 percent of U.S. students identify as African-American, Hispanic, Asian, or Native American.

During their undergraduate years, 18 percent had studied business and 25 percent humanities/social sciences. Eleven percent each pursued degrees in engineering or finance. Twenty-two percent had double majors. Their mean GPA was 3.26. When it came time to take the GMAT, incoming students landed an average score of 636 on the 10th edition and an average 565 on the new test (formerly known as the GMAT Focus). Students who opted to take the GRE landed an average score of 318. The new students arrived on campus with an average of 4.2 years of work experience.

Here’s a bit about each of the new students in the Boston College Carroll MBA Class of 2026 featured in the following pages. Anna Parsons, an aspiring entrepreneur with a background in psychology, chose Carroll for its customizable degree structure and aims to combine her expertise in human behavior with business strategy to launch her own therapeutic recreation center. Ankit Bansal, from New Delhi, brings his rich experience in finance and operations, looking to leverage his MBA to enhance his leadership and data-driven decision-making skills.

Then we meet Kevin Pandji, a healthcare professional from Indonesia, who is transitioning from a technical role in process development to general management, driven by Boston Carroll’s strong focus on data analytics and its proximity to the healthcare industry in Boston. Ogugua Uchendu, a Boston native with experience in marketing and brand strategy, is eager to deepen her understanding of consumer insights and use data-driven strategies to foster innovation. Former naval officer Matt Semple is transitioning to the private sector and hopes to find a general management role where he can apply his leadership skills honed during his time in the military. Henry Wheeler, a mission-driven professional with extensive experience in sales and marketing, is excited to transition into brand management and corporate strategy, with a focus on lifestyle and consumer goods.

Each of these students brings their own set of strengths to the Carroll School, united by their desire to grow their skill sets, expand their networks, and make an impact in their chosen fields. Read on to learn more about their stories, advice for getting into Boston College Carroll and more.
